Don't think ive ever had a build thread on HMT, so here is the latest project. Hopefully it will be finished in a month or so.
Picked up an '88 DX hatch from a member on d-series 2 weekends ago, got a pretty good deal on it. Only real drag is the 8hrs round trip I had to make to get it, no biggie though. He threw in a obd0-obd1 mpfi conversion harness, so I couldnt pass up the deal. I paid $400 cash and a small trade for it.

As far as what motor is going into it...I'll be re-building my rod/piston a6 and transplanting it into the hatch along with the turbo kit from the CRX.
Motor is an a6 that I picked up locally. Guy said that it had a slight knock, and it turns out the #2 bearing was toast, but hadn't spun. rod was fine, and crank looked like it could be re-used no problem...but I'll be using the crank out of the last build just to be sure.
When I tore it down, still had crosshatch marks from the factory....with 250k on the clock

Sexiness
Today I got the bottom end assembled. Rings filed and all bearings plastigauged. New main bearings, but I'll be re-using the rod bearings because they still look perfect and I know the clearances are good.
All in all, I got the bottom end all assembled, rear main seal bolted on, water pump and oil pump bolted up, and oil pickup installed. Need to pull the engine out of the CRX so I can pull the head and oil pan and complete the assembly.
