Heres a classic, i figured we needed more fabrication in the fabrication section so heres a little something I whiped up a few years ago.
Who remembers these from the 80's
Had this bitch lying around. it was way to heavy and way to slow.
43cc's of fury
removed the floorboard, squeezed the rear fork or whatever to allow the chain to fit.
Drilled holes into the rim to mount the sprocket
drilled the srocket to mount onto the rim
Wheel mounted up good, and the chain didnt rub on anything.
welded a plate on the frame and mounted the engine. also welded a seat pillar.
Here it is all finished, I welded the floorboard as the seat.
It was a fun project, it actually drove pretty fast, Ass dyno says 3-5HP @30-40MPH? it went almost as fast as traffic did on the street. It was a bitch coming to a stop, The plastic rims and shitty rubber brake pads were not designed to go that fast or to stop my massive ass, They consequently fialed and melted, so i just did it old school and used my shoe.
It could do a mean burnout, then one day i was riding it hard and the rear bearings took a shit and the wheel fell off on the street, to say the least i limped my ass home. Never rode it again. it collected dust and rust for a year and finally was sold as scrap metal.
