my brother is looking into boosting his g35 and possible building the motor do any of you guys know of any place I can find info about these motors? I think its the vq35 but I'm not a 100% sure. what little i've read they don't seem to make that much power on boost

yeah I've been to all the Nissan/infiniti forums as well. and These motors suck shit out of assholes with boost compared to other 6 cylinder motors from what i've seen.

Ive seen a few supercharged 350z's and they seemed to run pretty decent, The VQ makes nice numbers for being N/A and could easily post up 400hp boosted.

I know of two here, BUT both are "kits". One I belive is greddy and the other ATS or APS or some shit like that.  Anyway, the point being, I have never seen one of those cars get turbo'd without dropping a fuck load of parts out of the car lol. I think they had to pull the motors to do it.

no i'm talking about the turbo shit. because all you have to do is jack the car up and it would take maybe 5 mins to unbolt all that shit. my brother is a little cunt and that's why we wouldn't do it are self's. he would rather just buy the shit and put it on than fabing up shit.

weld up a sheet metal piece after the turbo is installed to cover the turbo set-up if you're doing the rear mount. WIll take lots of grinding to take it off, but theft safe.

if he wants to boost with a kit, i have a hks gt supercharger that im getting rid of and selling my g35 and picking up a nsx.
