idiots should make it compatible with something affordable.  take a game boy advance for instance.  you can pick them up at game stop for 20 bucks and they probably can do just the same functions minus ipone's built in gyroscope thingy

But you need multiple bluetooth units as half duplex = failure, and god help you if you have to manage more than one COM.

The problem with the phone's accellerometer is it can't compensate for angle afaik, you'd have to strap it down flat. It was meant to see what the phone was doing relative to your hands, not relative to mother earth.

Then there's the fact you can buy a cheap lappy for $150, and a SSI-4 for under $150 and have a screen that's much larger. Then you can log all sorts of shit, like a $12 Freescale 3-axis g-sensor, a $3 thermistor for IAT, a thermocouple using an $11 chip, intercooler pressure drop & efficiency, etc.
