They are T38 Talons,  which is cool given what my car is.  It was taken on the ramp in front of Duncan Aviation in Lincoln, NE

F5 Tiger, T38 and F5 Tiger II

Apparently the t38's were initially made to be the jet trainers when we used the f5 II's
now we sold them all to iran etc..

the f5 II and t38 look very close aside from the t38's blunt nose,somewhat like the alpha jet

btw we still have some f5 tiger II's and are painted gloss black and located at Nellis AFB that the navy uses for the "top gun" school.

Yep, they are very similar.  They were both derived from the same lightweight fighter project. The ones in the picture are Talons though.

Pretty gool aircraft.
