I'm still unemployed after a month and a half. Trying to make a career change away from the automotive field. Filled out a shitton of applications and had a few interviews, Hope to have something soon.

No welfare, food stamps, or unemployment for me.

What do you think Mike?

I'm in the same boat. Been unemployed for 3 months now. I haven't got a new job, and it's not that I can't find one...it's that I live in the country and don't have a vehicle to get there.

Due to not having money, because I don't have a job, finishing an engine swap is a bit tough. Sold a bunch of shit to get a bit of the money and fortunately have a sister willing to loan me money for the rest. Should have a job and b-swapped crx by this time next month.

BTW, hot pockets are for ballers. True poor people eat ramen and sandwiches.

we buy huge blocks of ham, cheese, and turkey. end up paying just over dollar a lb for the ham. current price of sliced ham at the grocery store is $7 a lb.

Why the fuck don't you take unemployment? Its the one thing you can actually say you DESERVE. You only get it if you fucking worked. I have worked as a self employed business owner for over 15 years. My Jobless status is a result of me choosing to leave my previous job. Granted I was supposed to have another lined up, but shit happens and you deal with it. Actually it does not come out of your check, the employer pays it.

Did the 26 weeks unemployment, now self employed for 3.5 years.

Haven't paid self-employment taxes yet, IRS is not happy!!!!! It's only SSI/Medifraud which I'll never get, fuck them!

$100k+ salary, $91.5k is tax free. 8 weeks paid vacation with free airfare. Desktop support position in Afghanistan. Work 12 hour days, but you really only work 4 hours and fuck around on the internet the rest of the time.
