ECUcontrol plugin
« on: March 29, 2009, 08:55:59 PM »

i coudnt get the newest ecucontrol to work, yet one of the old versions did the only way i got it to work was installing the stand alone (the actual setup and not the executable standalone)  software located on their website (ONCE THAT SOFTWARE WORKS) try the latest version in TE.

i think the culprit was a ocx file called car.ocx because the executable standalone didnt work and asked for it, but regardless there might be more files that the setup installs needed for the new crap to work.

hopefully it fixes your issues

ive been fine with my 1st download of ECUCONTROL straight from their website..

with TE you have to install i believe 2.6.xxx and then DL the new one that you want to use...

ive been fine with 3.9.10 TE and ECUCONTROL

as of right now, you have to install either the standalone ecucontrol or use the installer for the original plugin version.  then any of the new plugins should work with the added support files.  the standalone installer download in posted in the thread on pgmfi.
