So what did go wrong?

First wrong move was to get an ebay adapter plate instead of a proper BMC one because I thought saving $20 was a good idea.

Second wrong move was - I couldnt find the proper sized allen-head hardware ANYWHERE in town so I used some random bolts I had laying around and grinded the exhaust housing to accomidate for the larger head sizes of the hex head bolts I was using

Lastly, some unexplained phenomena caused 3/4 of the turbo-to-adapter-plate bolts to cross-thread or something.  Went in, got hard to turn then quit turning alltogether and 2 of them's head were stripped by this point.

I've got all 3 parts chillin on a small BBQ grill on high.  Gonna try welding it all together then stick it back in the grill to cool.

Well good luck, sir. This will be one sick ass build. Question: Did your manifold require you to grind down the last 3 runners in order to bolt to head? My fucking manifold was drilled wrong by the chinese baby that drilled it.

I don't believe so.  I havent bolted it to the head yet but I rested it on 2 studs and there didnt seem to be any problem lining it up.   Right now I'm just hoping there arent any exhaust leaks due to a portion of the welding everything together job was a bit tough to get the wire into because of the stripped bolts.

Gonna remove the oil pan in anticipation of some stevemode lines today and remove the remainder of the exhaust.  gotta wait on my flanges to make the dp/exhaust.

Edit: Oh yeah, my welder's wire feed motor took a shit today - now only works on higher speeds.  Wonder what rebuilding the motor entails...I might try removing it today to see whats up.

thanks man.  Another problem arose and that was me welding the exhaust housing on BACKWARDS.  I'll either fix it or go t3.  I got a shit-ton of work to do this week but hopefully I can get around to it.  God I suck balls.

Had a spare 2hrs today. Did work

coolant lines are crazy but I might actually cool this one. WG hitting the slave.  A couple degrees of clocking should fix that.  Hopefully I wont need to shorten the actuator arm, etc.

Feed done.  Return will be done when the JB Weld® cures

FMIC comes tomorrow.  Gotta get around to eyeballing some shit and make a http://www.mandrel-bends.com/ order

You need 2.5" or 3"

Last time I ordered from there I bought out their b stock mild steel bends and needless to say, 15 of anything looks a lot bigger in person
