« on: March 07, 2009, 04:35:45 PM »

i just did the timing belt in my new EX coupe.. i started it. it ran great.. i didnt hook the ground up on the driverside at the front cuz i left the p/s pump off for the test.. it was idling fine then all of a sudden shut off and now all 4 plugs are no spark.. checked the ECU fuse, unhooked it and let it sit for a bit adn still no spark

did i fry something else with no ground on the driver side?? t stat and master ground were deff hooked up..

yea coil. i have soo many of the factory coils laying around cause i went through them in my old turbo car. It would be fine under 15psi of boost anything higher and the coil would fry. So i added a few more grounds and an MSD external and never had a problem after.

Higher cylinder pressures make it harder for the spark to jump. So do higher gaps. Both work a coil harder and can cause a misfire if it's on the limit.
