hey all, i know i dont post on here much anymore but was hoping some of you would be able to help me, this morning 2 men entered my house one of them punched my faience pinned her down and tied her up with speaker wire, she was punched 3 more times, they stole between $1500-2000 in cash, the faience's jewelry box with her grandmothers pearls in it, and her I-Phone 3G was hoping someone on here has an idea of how you can track an Iphone i know it is possible with the GPS to locate it, rogers is being useless as is mac so far, i just want to track these mother fuckers down and exact some RHMT revenge on them with a baseball bat most likely, i dont give a shit about the money or the phone, but they came in my house and assaulted my future wife, so any help would be much appreciated

they have it so if they make any calls with the phone they can monitor the calls and we have them but its not likely they will do that,

Too late to install that.  They could get an approximite idea from tower triangulation but not enough for it to be too useful unless you know someone living there, and good luck trying to get that information from the cops.

I highly doubt they could, and even if they could I highly doubt they would.  Unfortunately this is something you have to think about ahead of time.  I just installed an app on Android yesterday in which I can send one text to have it play the ringer, and a different text to have it enable GPS in case I disabled it and needed to track it.

Watch craigslist for any of your shit, local pawn shops, talk to neighbors, etc.  Call TV stations and see if any are needing a story and will run yours.

i dont even care about the phone, i just want to find these fuckers, and actually a more or less triangulation would work out great since i know where the guy lives that i think did it. bu your right most likely nothing will come of trying to track the phone, called all the pawn shops in the area, nothing so far, checked kijiji, nothing there either, i'll have to check craigslist sometime tonight,

Isn't Rogers a Canadian company?  I'm not sure what laws are like there, and not sure what the general support is capable of doing, but maybe they can tell you what tower the phone is connected to.  If they "can't," maybe they can by the request of a LEO.
