Yeah I would get the 99+ model. I personally think the earlier models are ugly and those flip up head lights suck. I don't know about up there, but down here people wan't $3k+ for an early 90's model.

I'm well aware, but when they sell for less they aren't optioned out like this car or paint is rough or its rusty or a million other things.  This car was a clean '99 with every option other than power door locks and special order black leather seats.  It's not a true selling point to me, but the leather, bose, AC, power everything, ect ect ect made it a nicer car than otherwise.

Hard tops are just better.  The only downside is the 60lbs they add in weight.  I don't think I'd ever bother taking out the rag top, otherwise I'd probably save about 150lbs by just running the hard top.

I'd add it because it looks better and functions better.  All it takes is one jerk off with a key and you have a destroyed rag top, interior, and anything else they decide.  A hard top at least takes the temptation away.

Seller responded and said he doesn't want a cent less than $6000.  He's half ready to sell, half not.  I know money is the way to make him move one way or the other.  $5500 would probably make him think harder about things.  I probably should have asked to look at the car again and waved cash in his face.  I could go over with $5200 cash and see where he stands.  Seeing the cash might make him think twice.  I typically don't like showing up places with that kind of money though unless I'm definitely buying.

ya all the mid life crisis gay pride men are willing to pay top $ for them.  i went test drove a few once, always ended up meeting up with some girl or some guy that made me feel uncomfortable, and they felt junky for how much they wanted for em.   ive driven nice ones and there fun to throw around.  basicly fuck em cause they cost to much and this 250hp talk seems stupid, i dont turbo shit for 250hp anymore. probly why ihavent turbo anything a while  hard top v8 miata = nothin gay about that
