I needed $$$ a few months ago, so I ended up selling my HX35 along with my tuning equipment. when it came time to buy another, I opted for the HY35 because of the smaller exhaust housing. I'm not trying to break records, so good spool is more important than huge top end.
The throttle response is the best i've had with my revisions; most likely due to other problems being fixed along with the smaller turbine housing.
the vband clamp on the turbine housing is fucking awesome too. my only complaint is not having room for a filter due to the large headlight housings on the 96+ coupe.
I will upload ripper videos this weekend after I get it tuned. it feels on point right now with the basemap i'm running, but the mpg sucks bad, but it's from a stock gsr w/ t3 t4 setup and I just fixed a pre-turbo exhaust leak (flapper valve wasn't being held shut).
setup:
B16A .5mm over w/ 9:1 compression
3" ss downpipe to 2.5" exhaust with vbands! (finally no open dp!)
Holset HY35
450cc injectors
4bar map
etc etc...
