D series Cam Ident?
« on: February 24, 2010, 09:54:08 PM »

I picked up a really nice  Z6 head with what the guy claimed is an aftermarket cam. Any way to identify this?  Head was free, want to see if I can toss the cam in the GRM car.

Measure the base circle of the cam then measure the peak of the ramp and get the lift. (if cam out of head)

Or use a ghetto style Degree Wheel and and degree it for duration and then measure the valve lift on intake and exhaust. (if cam is still in the head)

Throw the numbers up or google the specs. of z6 performance and stock cams and compare.

If it is match to stage 2 turbo for a z6 and you decide to not want it, just sell it to me for $75 shipped and I'll take it off your hands. ;D
