My t100 exhaust (old)
« on: March 30, 2009, 08:46:31 PM »

Yeah so this past week at school I realized that the exhaust on my truck was getting worse, and after I went out one night and was doing some WOT runs, the back of the muffler just blew out. The exhaust was basically hanging by a thread since it was so rusted.

So about $70 7 hours later I have this:

From the flange back here's what I used:

original exhaust flange + front hanger
2 1/4" mid pipe light bend from an E-bay civic exhaust
2 1/4"-2 1/2" adapter
Thrush turbo muffler
2 45" bends
part of a piece of 36" pipe
one more 45 for the exit
the smaller piece of the 36" piece I cut

Oh yeah and I used my trademark 3/8" nails for some tough hangers.

All in all it sounds great on my truck and was super cheap and easy to build.

Nice work with the nails. I'm curious if that's cheaper than rod - I usually just weld a blob on the rods' ends.
