i have been looking up videos on youtube with people that have made these .. their pretty cool im thinking about trying to make one w parts from home LOWES .. im not sure what all parts i need but ill figure it out... looks pretty much like brass fittings/tubes or gas pipline shit and a spring and a lil moding... but anyone here ever made one

And the right tools   Trying to bend an AK receiver flat without a jig is a bitch. Tried it, didn't turn out too well...

Pain in the ass part is doing it all legal like. But any receiver you manufacture yourself doesn't have to have a serial number unless you sell it. Although there might be some crappy nanny state laws that say otherwise...


But it's one of those things where it's only illegal if you get caught. I'm sure as fuck not gonna try it though, and if I were, I damn sure wouldn't be bringing it up on an internet forum.

Arguing about something like that is incredibly stupid johnny, They all use the same parts, same design, operate the same way.  You're arguing over 1 letter.  AK47 is easier to say than AKM, it is still in the kalashnikov family and is basically identical.   By your theory 1000cc bikes do not exist, only 999cc bikes, so you should correct anyone calling their motorcycle a liter bike, or correct everyone with a b16 calling their engine a 1.6l since its only 159x CC.  You're nit picking an arguement for the sake of some need you have to be perfectly correct, when  infact, it does not matter at all.

You're wrong johnny.  Saying ak47 does not imply that it is fully automatic, it implies that it is SELECT FIRE.  There is no Kalashnikov that is automatic ONLY.
