Is anyone with a working welder local to Buk? I am curious what his welds would look like with something that actually worked. If he doesn't have the potential to weld then all of this effort is really pointless.

electrician got the new box in and everything is fine now :/

had to pay him 750 bucks parts and labor to have him install the box and redo the shorted out wiring... he also went through and fixed some things in the downstairs breaker box..

this is so fucked up

welder is fried also part of the board was oozing shit out the bottom corner

electrician says the breaker i installed from home depot was prolly defective or i didnt flip the switch back and fourth to make sure it was clean and clear.. he says the breaker prolly tripped but couldnt close itself or some bullshit like that.. or he says install error but i doubt it cause ive installed there things before without any issues but i didnt think i had to open and close it several times...

I only had 300 of that.. mom had to pay the rest which is why I have the fs thread open so I can pay her back..

fucking circuit breaker kept tripping so i taped it with a piece of duct tape so it couldn't trip...
 
welder worked fine for like not even a minute then i saw smoke and sparks from the breaker box :-(
 
when i doused it with a bucket of water that i originally had incase the wood table im welding on caught fire it made it worse.. then i saw smoke coming out the welder..

anyway, can you take a few pics of the circuit board that is so called 'bad', most of the older welder shit has huge leads on the circuit boards and you can see where it is broken. take some pics and ill look at them.

its not like i wanted to dump the water but it was my only choice.. already had one house fire in our old house (i wasnt home) so it was a split second decision and i saw a flame.. and my class c fire extinguisher was chilling in the trunk of my car.. im confident that by the time i ran out to the car to grab it the fire would have been beyond the point of control.. so i overreacted and jumped on a roll of carpet and with a quick whip i splashed the entire breaker box top to bottom..

fire was out instantly.. but welder didnt stop smoking for a while

In all fairness, Buk never got a chance to actually make a manifold.  He got fucked with a broken welder and then instead of thinking like a white man, he thought brown, and it turned to shit.

You should have just sold the Econotig for cheap and then bought a used MillerMatic.  You'd be happy as can be right now welding whatever you want together.

In all fairness, Buk never got a chance to actually make a manifold.  He got alot of good advice from here and ignored all of it jumping in with both feet and every dime he had with no research or idea of what he was doing.  Then when he got scammed cause he had 'schmuck' written on his forehead buying a junk welder he did the same and hacked it all up and almost burned his house down.  Then he still claimed he got shit on when he admitted to others once again it was his own incompetance that caused it.  Now he is planning on not only welding without knowledge, he is going to build his own welder that he also knows nothing about.  Like everyone warned every step of the way, he inevitably fails.

FOUND ANOTHER TIG WELDER THAT IM GOING TO GET!!!

its an older miller bp tig welder.. he says its heavy but not that heavy and that he can deliver it for free

so i think i might take him up on his offer.. he wants my civic and my rsx seats.. civic i had listed for 1k and rsx seats at 300..

he offered the tig welder and 300 bucks so that will cover most of what i owe my mom...

meaning that im getting the welder for 1k but he says it comes with a water cooler/foot control/hand control/2 empty shielding gas tanks (a 200cu ft and a 300 cu ft) and a bunch of tungsten/filler rods/collets/gas cups

he says its the same model as this

that ebay ad lists it for 899 without any of the extras im getting rofl so im getting a good deal he says the welder comes with 250 ft leads and it comes with a tig attachment supposedly he can run the welder as a tig too (which is why he has 2 different shielding gas tanks one for straight argon and the other is an argon mix with another gas for mig welding)

i just gotta figure out how to get it to the basement

i have to drive my civic out to him then he will deliver the welder to my backyard only (he has back problems) its ok im sure i can get it into my basement somehow if not ill build a garage in the backyard im sure building a garage wouldnt be that hard.. i took some pics of a garage i saw before whose material shouldnt cost more than 400 and we have alot of 2x4's so ittl cost me less..

gonna try to get em to toss in a little more cash but i dont wanna fuck this up cause its such a good deal
