Had a grilled cheese yesterday. It was ok, but I somehow fucked it up. Don't think wheat bread works.  :P

I did butter it, but it still wasn't right. Probably needed more butter. Butter makes everything better.

was it whole wheat or just wheat?  whole wheat fails at grilling.

I do the grill cheese in a sandwich maker.

Have triangle shaped sandwichs for the kids.

I throw in salami in the sandwich for myself and usually use one of those mexican cheese mix from kraft comes in 1lb pouches hint of jalopenos is awsome.

grilled cheese is delicious, i personally like some bacon inside of it. gives it a little extra to help fill you up. that and grilled cheese and some macaroni and cheese goes great together

what kind of dumb ass doesn't put butter on the bread when they make grilled cheese?
Cheap quick lazy dumbasses like me. i'll throw two slices of bread and cheese in the toaster oven to melt the cheese, then slap em together and toast the bread without butter for a quick sandwich with zero cleanup

My favorite is land-o-lakes white american on some light 'whole wheat' fried in some butter then pulled apart and a slice of tomato, mayonaise, pepper and a touch of salt thrown in the middle.

oki just re invented the grill cheese.  take a loaf of double cheese bread,  old nippy chedda' butter on both sides, set the heat at around 6, grill it up and enjoy.  i thought i knew what heaven would be like but i was wrong.  enough calories to last you 3 days.

the best bread to use for a grill cheese is by FAR, homemade bread.

wtf are you talking about

best bread is the multigrain stuff
