How did this happen?
« on: March 23, 2010, 05:17:18 PM »

Porsche made top 10 nameplates in The J.D. Power and Associates annual dependability rankings.

Am I missing something here?
Did everything just changed while I was sleeping?

I remember hearing Robb complaining about what kind pieces of shit these cars are.

And what even more strange 7 domestic cars made the top ten most-reliable vehicles in that study.  :?:

Wow

Granted this is a study for the 2007 model year but what? how that happen?

Damn I may have to buy a Ford or GM car for the first in over 15yrs.  :)

I'm sure I'll leave something out, but he talks to me about it more than anyone else here.

Only half the recent P cars have issues, and only the early and mid era Boxsters truly suck.  The Cayennes were made as a novelty and the demand for them left Porsche scrambling to produce more so the first few years have some quirks, recent ones are much much improved.  The high end 911 flavors are always excellent, and the Cayman is the modern day poor man's Porsche that makes 914/944 look like halfassed attempts.

i really like the caymanne.  the boxter, as shitty as it was, was also one of the best handling porsches because of it's mid engine layout.  adding more rigidity with the roof on the caymanne sounds appealing to me.  i am not a fast driver, but i also don't slow down for turns, so handling is a big point for me.

Who would buy a panamera when there's the cts-v or m5?  It's like looking at a fat pretty chick.  So much potential, just went wrong in so many ways  :'(

I drove an auto Cayman once.  I didn't get to wring it out, cause the owner was in the passenger's seat.  It didn't have any obvious design flaws.  Might be worth looking at one in 10 years, once everyone figures out the little quirks n the prices become reasonable...

They need cats and O2 sensors and oil changes.  Welcome to any new emissions vehicle.
