I wanted to keep the compression real low cause I plan to drive the shit out of it on pump gas looking for around 600whp or wherever SF's dyno max's out on pump.  Race gas tune I guess will be on the dynojet.

whoops forgot to say in my last post CR is 9.1:1 ish 84mm bore.  nah .005 will be fine.  kinda wish I'd have done 5.5 but it is what it is.

5 is fine..... i went with .0045 the first time and my pistons looked new when i took them out to check everything after the overrev. they were at a loose .006 when i put it back together this last time... HAHAHHAHA. Im sure the motor is at .007 by now

That mostly depends on pin offset on the piston. I've used Wiseco's gapped at .004 and had them slap loudly when cold, but went completely away when above 150*ect or so.

My supertechs are at .004 in the ZC and they sound like a diesel when it is cold.

My Wiseco's are noisy as fuck but like said once it heats up its gone. Mine were at .0045 too.

Didn't say it was completely dependant, just mostly. You can have 2 pistons made of the same alloy and be of the same design with the exception of one of them having the pin offset slightly. The offset one will make less noise, if its offset correctly.

Not complicating things, just adding some insight you fat tub of lard. I know it hurts your head to think, so I'll stop.

Garage is trashed from trying to find shit.  Put real valvesprings in and timing belt cover and harmonic damper.

You should have saw it before I painted it...I agree though.  Valve cover is even worse in person.  Fuck it though, not like I have a clear hood.  I have a purple turbo for christ's sake, I'm keeping that shit covered up.

Made some pretty good progress tonight.

Got the clutch on (had to do this twice, forgot the fuckin pilot bearing first time) and then put the tranny and stock mounts on (still waiting on my solid mounts)



Chopped out the center of the core support and started looking at where I'm going to mount the turbo.  Finally think I decided on this spot, a manifold will be easier than top mount and I will make more powaz.  It's actually going to be up and to the right about 2" from where it's at in the pic, but I need to cut out some more of the core support to fit it.



Purple slut fits with the stock bumper.
