Tell me you had comprehensive on that bitch....  It is NOT that much more money to carry comprehensive, and when you have a nicer car that you care about, and a model that is stolen and ransacked so frequently, it is totally worth it.  All your shit would be covered, plus some.  Or they would total it, give you made $$$, and you could buy it back and rebuild it with an ls-t.

It didn't go up at all. Not everything makes it go up, and its more about the frequency in which you make insurance claims.  The only other incident I had on my insurance record was when some bitch backed into me in the parking lot 3 yrs before that, so that was her fault and her insurance covered that.  You can ask the rep when you call to make a claim if it will affect your insurance and they can check and tell you before it is formally filed.

The sad part is since you don't have full coverage insurance 96-00 Civics (non Si's) go for pretty cheap so you liable to be putting more money out to fix it than to buy another one. I say look for a good clean shell and swap your motor into it.

Well after some research and help from friends a group of people will be helping me out this weekend to get this back on the road by the weekend....

Front End - Bumper, Grill, Fenders, Hood, Headlights im getting brand new from Certifit in Boston Ma, for about 255 tax included

I have my option of a riced out ex cluster or a factory dx cluster - free

the heat and ac knobs etc - still looking to purchase....

i have the stock radio and stock speakers still - free

i have my option of blue eg seats or grey/black accord seats - free

shift knob i think i got one - free

and i got my steelies still - free

so im def gna rebuiild this get it back on the road try to get it painted some how....

then either going to sell it for hopefully good money and buy something less likely to get stolen and boost that....

or ill just buy an eg and boost it with mad kill switches and it will look dead stock

The reason I'm okay with my rusty, dented, clearcoat-chipping, oil leaking del sol vtec. Nobody gives it a 2nd look until I crack mAd 3rd gEar V-TAK.


You could also invest in a $150 2-way alarm like an Avital 4400/Hornet 564t/etc (DEI AM-based 2-way). I also gained turbo timer, remote start and keyless entry with it. ATM I have some latching relays on the relocated main relay, ecu, and clutch switch - meaning they could yank the alarm out, but they'd have to tow it unless they rewired those components. They keep their possition even if you pull the main OR backup battery. That assumes they can even tilt the car 5* before the tilt sensor goes wild, or get a foot from the door w/o the warn-away telling them to GTFO N00B.
