fluxcore madness exhaust
« on: April 23, 2010, 12:34:57 AM »

So my VX needed an exaust as all it had was the mani and cat dealy and nothing after it. I am a poor nigga so I reused the exhaust i made for my old LX sedan. It consists of a cherrybomb and 3 or 4 random pieces of 2.5" pipe and ends with a ebay N1 fart can. I also used a DNX header that I got from the junkyard cheep cause someone used a sawzall to remove the cat from the car it was on and cut the collector.

Look at these quality welds lol

old vx mani/cat

Headerless dirty z1

rusty ass cherrybomb and more nice welds

Ebay n1 ftl

My friend jim welding on a new collector and his fluxcore welder

Gotta have the classic cock shot. While grinding evenĀ  :noel:

The VX looks funny with tiny ass 13"s on the front and 15"s on the rear. One of the rear tires has a busted belt that makes the car un driveable over 55 or so.

I didnt get any finished shots but you cant see much any how. The muffler ends up behind the bumper and that causes issues. Namely the car fills with smoke and fumes haha. I cant get on it too much cause the high-mile z1 burns a little oil and the car fills with smoke so epic fail for that. Ill fix it soon lol. It isnt too awfull loud for what it is but i may go to summit and get a super-turbo muffler and stick on it instead.

Lol, hotness. I was making my EF 4dr more civil to sell it, and made a full exhaust from 4 differnt partial exhausts. With a gutted EF cat, EG resonator, and a stock axle-back from a EF hatch it made a great grandma car. And >40mpg. But I'm guessing your VX does that even if you have a bad O2 :-[

Went to summit today for some parts. Got a rag joint for my dads 88 mustang convertible and a muffler for the vx. Cant stand the raspy-ness of the fart can no more haha. Didn't get a chance to put it on yet as it started raining when we got back. Its supposed to be nicer tomorrow anyhow.

Here are some pics I took while there and a few of my dads mustang.
