It has some fucked up side effects in a significant portion of the population, expect it to be removed within two years and subject to yet another class action lawsuit.

Damn thats a sure fire way to get someone to quit.  Although after you busted a nut the temptation to smoke would be pretty tough.

Lung cancer is almost always fatal, and any chance of remission is a short term proposition.  Where's the incentive to quit?

This is my understanding as well. I got my doc to fill out a prescription for it, but after hearing about all the fucked up side effects people were having from it, it seemed like I was better off still smoking.

I did a pack every  few days for about 24 months then when i caught myself at a pack a day heading into senior year of college I told all my friends that if they saw me smoking a cig I either had to immediately shotgun a beer or let them punch me in the gut.

I got drunk a lot and when I drunk I got hit a lot. No effect. Thing that did the trick was quitting my job and running low on money - when smoking starts to cut into booze money it's all about which substance has a stronger hold over your brain.

I am firmly rooted in box wine culture.

ive never smoked, but tell me what it so hard? are you like thinking about smoking, or do you feel sick or something unless you have it? i just dont get it/dont feel it.

when you quit one habit are you changing to another, aka cross addiction????

in 98-99 I cut back on drinking and started smoking pot. Drank 5-6 less beers daily while smoking a bowl.
quarter bag would last me a month.

When I quit, I just quit.  Make the decision and stick to it. With the money I saved a month I bought a GSXR1000.
