Stage 1 wheel is stock.

On Garretts, flow through the housing depends on turbine wheel size as much as turbine, except for when the turbine wheel is so small that a change in turbine size is insignificant.  Stock is one of those lose-lose situations.  I daresay your engine is too busy being strangled to spool the turbo.

That doesnt sound very efficient.

So by choosing a bigger ex housing and wheel I might be able to kepp a decent spoolup because the engine is able to breathe better during spoolup. And of course much better topend. Did I get that right?

Like a BW with .55 ar housing and stage 3 wheel?

I like the stage 3 wheel on D-series.  That's what I based my spool times on.  0 psi at 3000, 10 psi at 3500.

I hate the fact that I'm now thinking I need a new turbo, lol

But thanks for sharing uncontrollable knowledge, I think I know a little bit more now

I'll try with the IM/tb combo from chris first, and see if it makes any impact on the torque curve. I'll post the results. :)
