Threat with md5?

I recently had to ban a user on a forum and he said he is going to have some fun cause he got the md5 info.

I did a quick search and have a mild idea of what it is, but I don't know what he could really do. Can he mess up the site by having this info? Is there anything that can be done to stop him?

It looks to me like he can't do shit to your site for 2 reasons.

1) he don't have the computing power.
2) The MD5 hack is used to create invalid security certificates to run rogue code from a web site that you currently have access too, not hack a web site.

Hmmm... I guess we will see. It's not actually my site just one I had a good hand in building. It seems there is a security update that might help. Luckily it's not really my worry, but I'm trying to research it to help.

I do have his real I.P. Most of the time he posted from it, he only used proxies when he was temp banned. He knows more than I do about this shit, but he seems inexperienced and sloppy.
