pro tips for out running the po po?

Kill switch for rear/all lights,
When you get off of whatever main road you are on resist the temptation to take a bunch of right turns.
Caltrops.  Make sure the dispensers are easily removed - use pins, not bolts.
Dumptubes routed to exhaust, e-cutouts, etc, keep the car quiet even when you're in the pedal.

Some way to obscure tag numbers. Any way you choose, Mr. Bond.
Most cars now have cameras running, that record to a drive starting the 60-90 BEFORE they hit their lits, so if they were close enough to see you before they lit you up, you're prolly on camera, or your plates. So wear a mask.


Along with the caltrops JD mentioned, a used oil container that can be easily dumped will help. Just a gallon or so in a strategic turn could cause catastrophic damage.
KNOW the area you are running. Avoid places that can easily be blocked or stripped.

Run through the local section 8 government housing projects. The cops will most likely see a negro they would rather harrass.

Also stay where your car is suited best. Don't get into a highway chase with a Charger if you don't have the gearing or power. They can hit 150+ that I've seen. The Vicky's top out a little over 130ish, and the Impala's end up around 140 (for the s/c version).

Keep a cool head. Don't let fear or adrenaline take over. Treat it just like a track day, and don't get desperate.

Do someone a favor and prop a sharpened, thick hollow steel tube against each passenger tire. Doesn't matter what size, since any plugged tire is considered unsafe for pursuit.

I prefer the bumper-mounted caltraps and rear-facing droppable spike strip. Stop them from even getting your plates. Just make sure the spike strip has "air brakes" (flaps) and outrigger-like stabilizers to prefent flipping as it drops/skids. An accordian-like structure to double it's width when dropped will prevent the cop from swerving. Also remember that they can't P.I.T. your car above 45mph, that's considered deadly force. Use that to your advantage to get them closer for the drop.

And as JD mentioned, make sure it all dumps off your car when activated. The clamp system should be on the device's carrier, clamping into a stock hanger/hole/etc on your chassis. Break-away electrical connectors ftw. Leave nothing that will show as evidence on your car.



Any amount of control lost at 100mph will suck for ANY car.

Welcome to 2005.  there is a Dodge Ram Viper truck thingy that roams around the VA Beach area and i hear they also have a Z06 vette for pusuits.  The truck they just primarily use for baiting races.

The volvos scare me more than the camaros do.

slightly easier than the killswitch for the rear lights:  Turn off headlights, then hold the stalk in like you are just flashing your highbeams at some noob.  I'll probably still get around to putting in the rear light killswitch.  Shouldn't be too hard to interrupt the grounds for every light on the back of the car.

Tilting the front plate down a bit on a low car helps make it harder to read.

Also: backroads are your friend in a small nimble car.  I was bombing one of my favorite twisties, passed a cop going the opposite way while I was between 25-35mph over playing with another car.  I knew the road, didn't wait for the cop to turn around, and just outpaced the copcar for the 6 or so miles left on that road, then drove through a couple other jurisdictions and parked it in a garage.

Yeah, one time exploding wire with nasty side effects to any nearby meat.  Might as well install a HERF gun in your trunk, if they are too far away to immobilize their vehicle you'll at least succeed in fucking with their radio, radar, and possibly dashcam.  Some hard wired video recorders are pretty resilient compared to RF devices, when the HERF gun isn't in close proximity.

Best bet is to put it in a carby vehicle.

Someone once told me that after a couple hard pulls, make a left turn instead of a right turn. Then keep your speed for period of time until you are most definitely out of the search zone.

50+ km/h over the limit here is automatic license suspension for 30 days, immediate impounding of the vehicle for 10 days, and a min 5K fine, it's classified as street racing.

If I'm doing 50 over, I'm not gonna pull over.

I wonder sometimes when i read people saying "Watch out i saw a cop in a Honda Pilot" if they really just saw a cop on his way to work.  not all of them are beat cops and not all drive the squad cars home.  Could just be a dude drivin to work in his shitbox.

Case in point guy down the road is a beat cop but also has a semi riced out Camaro ss.  Ive seen him in it in his Police uniform before.
