Flux-core to Ceramic coated pipe?

can i weld(flux-core) to ceramic piping, if i grindo off the coating?
i want to replace a bend in my apex exhaust piping, but i wasn't sure if it was possible.
also, im not sure if its stainless underneath. anyone know???

If the tubing is coated chances are it's because it was not made of stainless steel. So it was to keep it from rusting. Now you first question basically answered itself, if you grind the coating off then yes you can flux that shit together.

the coating is more for heat... its most likly SS. you can still weld it if you grind it 1st and paint it when your done

I planned on painting it afterwards too, I got some high temp paint that has worked well on downpipes before.

Does not compute. pretty sure apexi coats there steel exhaust i had one that had the grey/blue coating and after 4 yrs it was starting to rust in spots where the coating had rock chips and scratches on it. So........

My Dunk exhaust was coated and definitely NOT SS.  I cut the hangers off it for my 3", the Dunk exhaust is rusting up in my garage right now.
