Def. looks like they should fit. yeah the 27sf512 are discontinued. No place has them that I could find except ebay, xeno and moates.

Fuck a ZIF, get machine pin sockets and reap their eternal reliability.  Best of all, you can buy them from a company called ASSMANN.   :)

http://www.usa-assmann.com/Specs/ARxx-HxL-TT-R.pdf

Also, PWM is the same transistor as used by the IACV circuit, 220 and 330 ohm 1/2 watt resistors, and a 1N4002 diode (have used lesser rated 4001s with no problems).

i assume not use ZIF if you runs with ostrich or something like that, but if you runs without one and need remove chip all the time, using zif is easiest..

Not when the ZIF falls apart.  They are pretty fragile.

JD- Can I use 1n4004 for the diode? also I'm not sure which circuit the iacv is. Can you point me to what is the transistor type and are there suppose to be two transistors? the pwm kits sold show two totally different transistors. Thanks.

One is one of the small transistors everything uses, in this case to switch the big transistor on and off.

You have all the part numbers there, so...?

OK great thanks. Now as far as the 1n4002. I know the differences between the 1n4002 and the 1n4004 is that the 1n4004 has a much higher reverse voltage rms, I just want to know if i can use the 1n4004 instead of the 1n4002. Only reason I ask is cause I already have a bunch of 1n4004 for chipping kits and don't want to have to buy a different one if i have to. Thanks.

1N4001-1N4004 are interchangeable.  It's just a silicon diode, dude.  Passes voltage one way with a 0.3v drop, and refuses it the other direction.

I'm not sure what is included in the s300 chipping kit. I was under the impression it was a normally chipped ecu they used. I'm comparing datasheets between the chip you found at futurlec and the 27sf512 that I  know works. But with a quick look i don't think they are the same.

Thanks. I'm good with the amount i have now. I was just looking to see if people need them in the future and don't have to go through xeno and moates.

200 nanosecond memory = solid CEL.  The factory chipped Honduhs ran 170 ns memory, but I've had issues with 150 ns stuff.  You NEED 120 ns or better, and keep in mind that the last zero isn't always included in the part number so -20 is a 200 ns memory.

I believe 90 or 70 ns is the fastest these chips come in, and 250 the slowest (mostly old school 27C256 window chips), so don't thin a -25 is a screamer.  :P
