Just curious.
I grew up in the south, so was surrounded by religion at an early age. Went with friends to church to hang out and eventually became a "believer." Father grew up Lutheran and mother grew up Catholic, so they already had religious backgrounds and although I'm happy to say they never pushed me towards religion when I was a child, they did end up following me to church.
Have always been an inquisitive fuck and as I got older, I had more and more questions and couldn't be satiated by "keeping faith." It got to the point I was keeping the religious facade merely to give myself comfort that if there was a god, I would be hooked up with a mansion and boosted glasstop CRX when I died. Soon after I realized this was a waste of time, because no matter what I couldn't convince myself that these folk tales were true.
I finally settled on agnosticism with a strong lean towards atheism. I would say skrate-up atheist, but it'd be a bit foolish to claim there's no god when there's no possible way to prove either way. I don't have anything against people believing it, but I do have a problem when they come to my door, tell me "atheists should be shot," picket outside of concerts to tell me I'm going to hell because of the music I listen to, etc.
Where does RHMT stand?
