I bought a Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant and couldn't be happier. The upgrade to 2.2 is coming out in a month or two I hear as well.

I like the weight of the Driod 1.  That weight, maybe a hair more, and a bigger screen = perfect.

mine is a laggy POS, kicks back text messages, etc.  i really like the size/look/feel of the Vibrant. just not 100% up on the on screen keyboard yet.

i cant afford to buy a new baller $600 phone every 6months  :-\  fuck the phone companies and there ridiculous 2year contracts...

I too had never had a screen only phone and really wanted a Motorola Droid with the keyboard. After using one for a little while you will never go back. HD vid camera and 5mp still camera just top it off.Buy one.

My fucking screen is so big on my evo that keyboard works for my fat fingers. #1 reason I really enjoy it. It makes typing/surfing super nice, and its fast as fuck!!

I really would like a big screen like on the Droid X.  It'd be great for playing games/video at work when I'm bored.

BUT, I need a QWERTY.  Swype is awesome but still doesn't compare to an actual keyboard.  I want to stick with HTC since they're usually hacked pretty quickly, and I know they build quality phones.  I'd like something with vanilla Android also.

This leaves me with the G2.  Now the fucker needs to hurry up so I can get rid of this slow, outdated G1.
