Redbox

The closest one to me is 10mi away.  Even if it was only 5 mi away I'd probably say fuck it.  Why drive, burn time, burn gas, to hope the movie you want is in there, to pay money to rent it, when you can just click play on Netfrix, or download from internets in 5-10 minutes.

The best part - if you don't like the movie, no need to go out again or find a book/board game/do chores. Just a few clicks of the remote and something else is on.

Just watched Girl with the Dragon Tatoo, fucking weird but pretty good. I could never watch a normal series on air, so I'm catching up on a few shows like Dr Who.

You can see what's in the redbox before you get there.. you can even reserve them.  10 miles is crazy, around here there is a redbox (or two) on every corner.

And generally I'm not sitting at home thinking "Man, I'd like to see a movie"  Redbox stops occur out and about.

Netflix online selection sucks.  On two trial accounts I have been able to burn through that shit with the swiftness on Sat and Sun mornings.

Its getting better. If you keep an open mind you can find good shit on there all the time. You can't be like, "oh, I never heard of that, it must suck".

This.  There is plenty of good shit if you're willing to watch something that's not a new popular movie.  So Redbox would be better if that's what you want.  At the point it's on Redbox, it's already downloadable in 1080p...

Also I'll admit my ignorance about Redbox, but I usually decide to watch something when I'm at home.

I've tried Netflix on two separate occasions.. basically got bored with it and watched too much bad stuff to make it worth it imo.  It became a situation where I found myself watching dumb shit just to feel like I wasn't getting ripped off by the recurring charges.  The 2nd time we didn't make it out of the trial month because it was when they were talking about increasing the rates and creating separate services for streaming and mail order.

We usually decide to watch a movie on grocery shopping trips.. so a couple times a month.  I counted 10 redboxes off the top of my head within 5 miles while sitting on the shitter.

Watched Hobo with a Shotgun and it was pretty nuts.. Also The Walking Dead series was pretty good..

The Pyramid Code is a great documentary.. Couples free energy thoughts, with facts, and history.. One of the better documentaries I have seen in a while.

Red Dwarf
Legend of the SeekerCleavage
The Girl Who/With series.  I'd rail the euro film version of Lisbeth Salander in a dark needle infested alley, with condoms borrowed off Spiker, left over from the last time he bothered to use any in the mid-90s.  FUCK YOU.
Stargate Universe is fucking GOOD
A bunch of other shit I can't remember right now.

Stargate Universe is fucking GOOD

All i ever got from the few first eps was it was an old ship with a bunch of emo pussies in regular clothes.

That Lisbeth girl was indeed fucking hot. I would put up with her outfits if her late-night habits came with.

It takes ~8 eps to get into it.  It's worth another try.

I really hop the American version that comes out in Dec. doesn't butcher the original to bad.  :?:
