Hey fellas im pretty stumped. The stupid motor has a weird rattle coming from the pully area.I took the belt off and ran it and the noise went away so im assuming its one of the accessories. 

I have: replaced the tensioner with a new one, Same shit. I replaced the ALT with a good used one, same shit. The ac doesn't really work so im not sure if thats it.  The power steering is way in the back and I can't tell if thats it either.

Ive read that it could be the PCV but in my opinion I think its the waterpump. The pulleys all seem fine and dont leak or have weird movement.  I'm thinking maybe its the internal impeller, I am tempted to leave it but if I do there is a chance that the impeller will chew up the block.  Issue is im sick of replacing parts, anyone hear of water pump failures on these motors? They last forever on toyotas so wtf.

Car has 60 000miles on it.

Reminds me of when the pully on my power steering pump took a shit. Sounded kind of crazy towards the end with it wobbling and making a metal on metal grinding noise

I saw a saturn waterpump that didn't leak but the bad bearing let the pulley tilt a good 30*. Only reason it didn't tilt more was it rubbed on the motor mount. It was making a similar sound, mostly from clacking on the aluminum mount.

The AC will have a bearing in it since it has to free-wheel, that could be it too. If the PS pump took a crap, you'd probably have other issues.

At least if power steering goes nothing terrible should happen aside from a snapped belt and a hell of a mess.

If you know it to be belt driven accessory, ....and you don't think the ac works well......... then why not drop the AC out of the picture and try it again.

Yeah, try removing different accessory belt/belts and see if you can narrow it down. I'm guessing water pump is on timing belt? Check harmonic balancer bolt too.

why not get a long screwdriver or stethoscope from HF and actually find the noise rather than asking us who arent near the car?

sold it 3 years and 50k miles later for exactly what i paid for it, only put a 20$ drivers side axle in it... i'd say i did alright.
