got the mani ported for new tb. Found out my oil line is leaking fml is it ain't one thing it's another. Hulk will be ready for battle though.


p.s.  Anyone  know where to get a oil restrictor local dont realy have time to order one.

Got all my house chores done, so pulled the tranny out today and took it apart. Just as I thought... 1st gear Carbon syncro is smoked. It didn't delam or break the carbon insert (which has happened before) , but its fucked, not sure if i burnished it to hard or what



Built yesterday. In last night, out today... FUCK YOU FIRST GEAR CARBON SYNCRO!!! LOL. 1st was grinding from a stand still, thinking I may have burnished the syncos too hard or something. l Knew it was the syncro was worn out already. Could feel the detent and the slider grab the spring ring through the shifter, meaning the syncro itself was bottoming out on the cone. This thing has mint EVERYTHING in it so I didnt want to fuck things up. Apart she came....Weird, but Ive never had an issue with OEM on first anyways, so OEM it is. Tomorrow is another day

Gearset looks great, everything looks perfect, nothing really weird. Looks like a bit of heat in the fifth gear cone, and some in second... JUST on the tips of the cones, mild discoloration, nohing to worry about at all.  lending more credit to my theory about the burnishing the syncro deal... so all in all its cool I took it out and got to have a look see anyways. Im going back to all OEM 1-4 and Carbon 5th (Which was exactly how the OLD set was with 0 issues syncro wise)...

Ill have it back together in a day or two. Calling Dave tomorrow and chatting with him. Have him overnioght an OEM set.  :O) Tired of working on it this weekend LOL.


MAN the set is nice though  :O) Nice to be able to make power and beat the car and not give a shit and have to worry about gears blowing up :O)


Giving the front end a degree of camber to dial it a bit more while its apart. Suspension feels super solid and sooo nice again  :O) Missed the LSD too for the passt 8 or so months LOL... Tires are BEAT to shit, wont have new ones for a couple weeks. Was having a bit of a low oil pressure issue since switching filters which seemed weird, but Ill figure that out after the trans is fixed. Pretty sure I knowe whats up. Its not detrimental or destructive... Just low when its warmed up.

We did Limiting Straps on Bubs car 3 years ago, didnt seem to do THAT much. The Corner balancing was what really made a difference.
