Is Zdyne still in business?
« on: April 15, 2009, 09:46:34 PM »

OBD0 seems to be pretty much dead.

Their site is still up.  Anybody know if they are still in business and selling products?

Just curious.

OBD0 is dead, I'm surprised it's worth Jeff's time to keep the site up.

Yeah, I figured if the site is still up, there must be something still happening.

Unless hosting had been prepaid.

Dunno.

I haven't seen any IAT/ECT compensation for TE, ever, and while I liked BRE I haven't seen a PR3/PW0 ECU in two years.  Add in the spectacularly craptastic build quality of the distributors and OBD0 is obsolete.

I think I still have a PR3 floating around here somewhere...

sell me the pr3 I still use them, old school 1 wire vtec. Zdyne is still worth keeping up Im sure he sells a couple units per month. If he lowered the price down to maybe 300 for the gold he would sell alot of those bastards. I personally like zdyne it is old school and doesn't have the bells/whistles of the modern programs but it never failed on me. Cars reacted on the dyno to ignition/fuel changes correctly and I never dealt with any major bugs.

Tech support was always solid also since you have to change some settings to allow the ecu to go past 9000 for the rev limiter.

Im 99.99999999999 percent sure its a side business since you need to leave a message every time you call.

I've been reading alot since I'm unemployed and have read pro's and con's of using obd0 vs obd1 and so on. You've got less to worry about with tuning VS the obd1 but obd1 has more things to look after. Although you have more things to look after with obd0 you can keep a better eye on your car with obd1.

Even if you can get either failure of a man to get you your Crome Pro license, its still cheaper to go obd1. If you use the free version with freelog, the sky is the limit.

It didn't at the time of my posting that.

See?  I criticise and the market scurries to appease me.
