Need a wideband.  There is the LC-1 that everyone knows and loves.  But there are a bunch of other ones on the market I don't know much about.  I am looking at cheapness vs functions.  It is going in an old car so I don't even care about an external gauge, I might stick one in the glovebox but probably not. Being able to hook it up to MS and hook it to my laptop on occasion are really all I care about. 

AEM EUGO (Kind of dislike because the controller is in the gauge, or so it appears)
PLX M-300
LC-1
Techedge 2y DIY (intrigues me because I can pretty much use any sensor in it)
Zeitronix ZT-3

Any others that I am missing?  Cheap wins over everything else, budget is $250, but I would rather spend $50.  DIY kits are cool by me as long as I have something reliable and useable in the end.

Stay away from the aem. they are garage. I vote for reliability. So on that note. Plx or lc1. Brother in law had a ngk afx I think it was called and really seemed to like it. But I've heard of a few people here running the DIY build one yourself kit but for the life of me I'm to dumb to remember the name and to lazy to look it up.

the 14point7 wideband has shot up in price. i would spend a few dollars more and get a name brand. i have always used innovate. just picked up one of those lm2's on ebay for $250. works great. i tune lots of cars and have no desire to drive around with a gauge in my car so i cant comment on that stuff

Ease of use get PLX. If you can feed it power better than a 12yr old can, get the LC1.

If you really want a DIY, get the techedge. I have 2 and they work fine permanent solutions. I also have an LC1 with a cable extension (from my stolen M300) that I use to tune cars with.

They added more features and haz black case.

Use the Pure Plus model, it works great with datalogging and datalogs my EGTs, and good simulated output to ecu. 

I bought a used AEM UEGO, and it worked great for about 2mo., the damn 4wire connector on the back kept falling apart.

Any major heat in the cabin and it would just fail.

Fortunately this was my only experience on these.

I'll think twice about getting one with such low quality for the price.   

Like to try some of the other models in your list.

Saw JD use an LC-1 on my car a couple of years back it worked awesome. 

Just wished the rest of the car did, at the time.

NGK AFX has me intrigued, it says it can use sensors from both major manufacturers.. Does that mean NTK and Bosch LSU?

I just bought one of these and I love it. No honking box all compact comes with all the bells and whistles and even includes a sensor.

You dont need to use it it has your reg innovative 0-5v out.

I had an Innovate XD16, and had issues. But I never tried grounding to the block or ECU ground. So shame on me.

I then had a PLX M300, and it worked great, but I read some mixed reviews on accuracy and latency.

So I recently picked up an Innovate MTX-L. It replaced the XD16, but for half the price. I think I paid 175 shipped. Hopefully it works well.
