« on: May 09, 2012, 02:24:36 AM »

okay my bin is setup fo a 2.5 bar sensor. I want to switch to my 4bar. I tried just chaning it and evrything went lean question is. Do I just adjust the fuel settings or do I have to change ignition also?

p.s. is it ok to run the map senor from a vac block? only if I have to

I don't like to make any bin changes without tuning. Except rev limits, 2 step, etc. maybe I'm to cautious but I tune other people's cars and I have yet to blow one up. I don't want to risk my reputation on something so silly.

if crome works like turboedit does, it requires you to pretty much start from scratch when you swap maps.  When it applies the 4 bar map to your current bin, it changes your map cells, but doesn't modify ignition and fuel points if that makes sense.  i don't have a lot of experience with vac blocks, i have my map sensor ran with a t to the boost gauge.

answer is yes fuel and timing need retuned.
