I'm kinda thinking its v2v as well. I haven't cleaned the engine at all yet, but I didn't think there was much in the way of p2v evidence.

The #3 piston had p2v marks on the intake side.  I'm not doubtiing v2v issues, i just know i seen p2v marks. You'll know way more than when you take it apart.   I'd love to say who cares, its already happened, but that could be a mistake. 

What cams were in it when this happenned the first time?

Might be more efficient to have Geoff measure the cam, after all he is a little more setup for that. Speaking of cams I am bringing you a cam and a head this weekend for sure they are already loaded in the car.
