er304            you can use pretty much anything, though.  316 is too wet and flows too quick if you're slow as fuck like me.

309 to weld mild to 308 or 304 stainless.

You can also use 316, but that is REALLY expensive.

Not so obvious and ruthlessly odd.

Too bad the foundry I work at pours 316 and 316l once/2wks right now, I want to try and make a pattern and corebox to make manifolds.

We pour casting, usually 4" to 16" turbine pump impellers, and some bodies and volutes.

We are a brass/bronze foundry but we are getting major customer demand for 316L/316 castings.  :noel:

Yeah but it will weight twice the aluminum comprossor, unless I do a CDA958 then it will be a little closer aluminum.  :noel:

Looks like Corey is going to be doing my manifold. Hes got a couple more projects to bang out then I'm up. Cant wait for that shit be done.

Now my only question is, how high compression am I going to do on stock sleeves/bore with pistons and rods.

My goal is 350hp.

Stock B16 Head, ITR cams, 70mm TB, port matched skunk2 IM, 650cc Precision injectors

T3_T4E-Standard Bearing- H61 compressor wheel- Dry- Dynamic- Stage 5 turbine wheel- Standard .63 a/r turbine housing

I'm going to try to build boost as soon as possible. And I would like a power band with emphasis on low-mid range.

I know what "GOOGLE" says, I am simply thinking out loud...

Meant 308.  Been a while sense I was welding in the garage.  308 is all I run.

low-mid range with a 61mm stg 5 .63 turbine. on a b series. hahahahahahaha Really dude? You ever been in a turbo b series car?

Seriously you need to take a big look at your plan and change everything about it. You just wrote out a recipe for a power band from 6000-9000 rpm. efficient cam, efficient intake/tb, efficient turbine. who in the hell gave these as suggestions?

If your only going for 350 and semi quick spool I would have tried to go with a simple 50 or 57 trim.

That's what I've had forever. Trying to use what i already own. I also want some room for more down the road.

Oh well.

I might be getting a STR intake manifold for $250 for my built GSR head.

Some pics of the old setup...

So one night, i think i was high... I decided to extend my dump out passed my oil pan.

Only problem is, it only lasted about 2 weeks. I guess with all the weight, that bitch broke from the weld on the wastegate flange.

BLOX log manifold, two t3 flanges, two 45* elbows (aluminized steel tube). Run the outlet of the manifold down & over to the turbo and enjoy.
