So I was watching the OG Willy Wonka on 4/20.

I noticed something... The TV announcer said the wonka bars were on 5 continents. So lets count out Antartica. Winning children came from N. America and Europe. Now, the "liar" kid was from S. America. So the bars were released there. One scene shows a bunch of Asians going nuts, so count in Asia... That leaves Australia and Africa. I don't remember seeing any in that movie. Someone confirm if Australia was mentioned/shown in the movie? I'm just going to put this out there, but I don't think Mr. Wonka wanted any Africans winning the ownership to his factory.

In the original book, oompa loompas were  from the jungles of Africa.

In fiction, the Oompa-Loompas were first featured in Roald Dahl's 1964 children's book, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The original book first portrayed Oompa-Loompas as black pygmies from "the very deepest and darkest part of the African jungle where no white man had been before".

And apparently he changed it for the US release after being called a racist to little white midgets. haha
