ya ya ya im getting married late Aug. of this year i just recently got my passport and im down to do whatever so was wondering where some of you have gone to, and what you might be able to suggest in a tropical setting and reasonable price......

I did a 5 day stay at sandles montego bay. It was perfect. You can jump all over the island for free between all the other resorts. You don't have to spend a penny more, or tip once you're there, which is pretty relaxing.

Took a 7 day cruise in the caribean and spent 2 days in the FL keys in the end of August. Its off peak season so you get cheaper rates, There is the hurricane stuff but you can cover that with some trip insurance in case you have to cancel last minute.

Congrats, first of all. It's kind of expensive for the initial cost, but you should check out Sandals resorts. They're all inclusive... you don't pay for shit. I got my money's worth with lots of Tanqueray and tonic, Jameson, and various beer through the course of the week. Not to mention amazing food. Did I mention you don't even tip (they won't take it) ;D

My wife and I went to the US Virgin Islands. St Marten to be exact. It's U.S. so you get your marriage certificate in English instead of Spanish like most other area's of the carribean. Absolutely beautiful. The price isn't bad either.

goto st johns or st thomas. went there when i was younger and had a good time, nice beaches and its pretty quiet. we stayed at a place called gallows point, really nice rooms.

My fiance and I are planning to road trip from Wa to California for our Honeymoon in June. Thats it, no other plans. Take the Del Sol, throw in a tent and clothes, no plans and just go. Think it will be pretty awesome.

While I agree with your statement, I also see where the OP is coming from. I've been to quite a number of places around this country, and done some traveling/living abroad...and both have been great. If you have the funds to head out of the country, I see no reason not to. If you don't, America has a lot of offer as well.
