rcmp dont really hassel me. I got pulled over doing a pull down central 1-2-3 going for 4th and he pulls up behind me. I get pulled over and he wanted to know how I got driving so fast. I told him I did a motor swap and he wanted to see it. I popped my hood and he was amazed of this feat.


Mind you he came up to me and was like WHAT THE FUCK. YOU BLEW PAST ME DOING MACH CHICKEN, WHAT ARE YOU DOING.


fun times, another time neither me or my car was in town and then a cop came on the local forum and was like SLOW THE FUCK DOWN PURPLE HONDA I SAW YOU RIPPING AROUND TOWN BLAH BLAH BLAH. And I was like no you are a retard, my mom had my car with me in Kamloops......... he shut up quickly.

To sum it up, that screen mesh shit looks like a wall to air when you're going 60 mph. It hits it, builds up, and goes around. Very little will go through it. And the goal isn't to see how much air you can make flow around the heat exchangers, or how much air you can make blow around in the engine bay. You want to direct air through the heat exchangers, and duct things in such a way as to maximize the pressure differential across the heat exchangers as they are convectors. No pressure difference, no flow, no significant heat rejection. Bernoulli's equation says that if,you take air that has some velocity and SLOWLY and SMOOTHLY allow it to slow down and expand, it will compress.
