i have a chance to pick up a cheap k24 longblock out of a wrecked crv. i know people use the b20s from crvs but do people ever use the k24s from them. i am thinking of buying it for cheap and just reselling it.

people will buy that shit all over the place....jsut look on k20a.org in the classifieds ....make sure that you can get all the shit harness don't know about the tranny...being it is awd and shit.....if you can get it cheap.....you could probably find a sucker on k20a.org to rape ;D

K-parts command a price online, but locally nobody will buy them. I posted a picture of 3 K20A2a and 3 K24 blocks in the back of a pickup covered in ice and snow on ex-HMT... the (local) dude picked it all up (locally), along with NIB Eagles/JEs, for $500 and didn't understand why he shouldn't leave all that cheap crap out in the weather to get snowed on.

The CRV block, from what little my imperfect K-series memory recalls, is one of the better bottom ends to do the K20/K24 hybrid with so yes it has some inherent value. The plastic ass IM with the butterfly assembly that continually shitcans itself makes the upper end a piece of shit. If the (timebomb tick tick tick) AC compressor is still good then it has resale value as well since those things gut themselves like clockwork.

by cheap i mean 750. thats cheap around here but also the k-series did not pop off around here like it did in other places. i dont want to fuck my self on money or be out of money for a while becuase im tyring to get together another turbo project of some sort maybe an
f-series or possibly a ka24de depending on who gets back to me quicker

Sold 10 more ported/welded rbc manifolds after that dyno
