personalize license plates?
« on: January 20, 2013, 11:45:05 PM »

whats your guys thoughts on these?

both the CRX and the GVR4 are do to be relicensed, and both have the old style WA state plates, so they will both probably be required to get new ones. and im sure charged for them anyway. think its 14bucks? idk. dont remember. its like 48 for personals. then 36 ea year.

i think the CRX needs "TURBOHF" and the Galant "GVR4"

A pair of homosexually oriented plates would probably be more fitting.......

I probably would go with custom plates, but Florida charges way too much for registration to begin with, then adding a custom plate on top of it is just crazy. I spent $300 on my last birthday to renew my tags.

Get a bumper sticker if you really want something special. The only reason my 67 firebird has "1stbrd" on it is because my dad paid most of it.

Besides, I'm sure plates "jw bstrd", "jewd crx", and "jew u dwn" are already taken.

I should be receiving my MN Collectors plate in the mail any day now. Personalized "GIT SUM". No more tags to buy ever, and don't need to run a front plate.

that was another route. at 25years we can get collector or classic car plates...something. anyway they get all bent about putting miles on the cars and daily driving them. with the amount of dirt covering the CRX atm that one is hard to believe LOL.

Here in Mn, collector plates can be had for anything 20+ years old. Mines a 92. There's a stipulation that you have to have another registered MN vehicle that is your daily (got my work truck), and that the "collector" car must only be used to go to/from car shows, meets, or whatever the fucken rule is. Problem is, I can get pulled over in the car anywhere and I don't have to answer/honestly answer where I'm coming from or where the fuck I'm going. But, I hear collector plates don't get hassled like that, anyhow.

In wa I run the Army Veterans plates.  Have not been pulled over sense I got them  :noel:  All my friends that have them usually get a pass when they do get pulled over as well.

In WI the collector plates are overused...and more expensive. I saw an 1984 Pontiac Sunbird with more rust than sheetmetal and a ripped top with Collector plates. Technically you can't mod the vehicle either.

The 2 best I've seen lately was "ys it ds" on a hemi charger and a Honda Fit with disabled plates. I find irony funny. Ass orgy always makes me laugh.

A couple months ago, I was driving on I94 in Minneapolis and saw an FD RX7 with vanity collector plates that said '93 FD.'  I've never felt so old.
