There are no H or B parts used.  Reread title.  F22A.

What IM??

K20A2.  It's a direct bolt on.

Any pics of the ground clearance and the hood closed!

Hood closes, I think it has washers stacked at the hinges but nothing radical.  Not sure the washers are for engine clearance.

Oil pan hangs a bit low, but it's nothing that has been a problem.  F-Tuned crossmember is as low, or close enough to make that claim, and car is on Eibach Pro-kit springs.  Not stock, not slammed, still has suspension travel.

Good shit JD.  With that IM clearance, I think I'm going to do this with the ED once the turbo D15B2 comes out or blows up... But with the RHMT H2B setup with no adapter plate.  Like it should be done.  The way of the champions.

Ok back for some more...

Hard to see in the radical cell phone pics.

What throttle body?  K i assume? map sensor plumbed into the IM im guessing?  running an IACV?

Whats the deal with the fuel rail?  F series redrilled or rigged to mount up some how i assume?


If I can find a cheap RBC (looks like you are using a PRB actually my bad) im going to try this.  It looks like it makes it so much more space friendly for an ED. Or is it just an illusion and the H22 or F22 IM gives just as much room?

I bought my trans today.

Skunk2 makes an adaptor to run a cable TB on the rbc. There are also bolt on fuel rail options out there.

I did an h2b with the qsd kit along with rbc intake also using a qsd plate. Both of those qsd products were a joke, but that's off topic. I made the fuel rail from extruded fuel rail stock from Ross Machine Racing.

Stubbs what was your beef with the QSD h2k plate?

JD, fine ill do all the work myself.  Looks pretty straight forward anyways.  Should have a lots of space with the B series trans and my K24 accord TB should bolt right up.  Remote IACV, MAP sensor in the IM, and perhaps a TPS adapter or a new K series TPS since mine is busted.

Nothing that can't easily be fixed, but for the money you shouldn't have to. The bolts that hold it to the head had to be ground on to fit and the ports were really shitty. I spent an hour on it with a die grinder to be acceptable. Not even perfectly matching.

Yes, the IM is a direct bolt on.  Plenty of room.

Probably the stock F.  Maybe a B-series.  The only thing K purchased was the PRB intake manifold.  Direct bolt on!

Bore/inj spacing is all the same, IIRC the H23 rail was the same bolt pattern.  Or, close enough to oval a hole and make it work.  Or Coop drilled an extra hole in his existing one.  I'm pretty sure I gave him the rail off my old inj test bench (H23 lower and rail) but can't remember.

From what I remember...

F22aX, h23(non-vtec), f22b(JDM) motors all have same bolt pattern. more recent f22's such as the f22bX and f23 are different from the F22aX.

The outer holes won't be usable, so you may want to use the lightest coating of Hondabond. It looks like you just have to dill new holes, grind a little near the coolant port, then tap the port for a nipple. The runner shapes are nearly identical, enough so you won't have to do much if any port-matching.

I dont really use gaskets for much anymore when machined surfaces are in play.  RTV ftw.  :D

Cooper had to redesign the cable to hydro conversion.  Look closely, the revision is subtle.
