How to: Concrete Ramps

Since JD was giving me shit for posting in FB and not here. I'm posting this here. Even though I was going to later tonight, I'm doing it now.

I need to make some ramps about 15' long that go from ground level to about 14" high. I have poured flat slabs of concrete plenty of times and I understand the whole rebar thing and all. My concern is how to get the concrete to stay in the ramp form and not just come out. Do you just mix it dryer than if you poured a flat slab? Any tips?

**Note I didn't actually do the work myself**

The driveway at my parents back garage has some pretty good slope to it, and they just formed it up, rebarred it as normal and the concrete truck poured it, they floated it and broomed it and left.

From my limited experience ever working with concrete it is pretty thick and really doesn't move in its form. If a guy was really worried about it form it up with the thin part of the ramp elevated.

Sadly I do this shit for a living.   Just mix it thicker, it'll stay up the ramp plenty easy.   Hell you can do a vertical wall with no form of needed.

Funny enough, one of my local FB friends used to be a concrete guy and works for a heavy equipment rental company. He is going to bring some equipment over and help me knock this out. Now I just need to find a corner to work that will make me some good quick money for materials.
