seriously, why? how do i fix? i need this shit running.
« on: November 26, 2013, 11:44:38 PM »

just sent my DSMLink v2.5 in to get upgraded to ECMLink v3.0... i have downloaded sofware and drivers from CD. several times. device manager shows its COM3 that the USB is linked to. this message is all i get over and fuckin over again. im going to freeze to death sitting in my car fucking with this thing.

shit worked(as well as this garbage is going to), connected, flashed, tuned, datalogged, fuckin etc fine last week. all i did was pull the datalog cable, and ECU out. its just been sitting there for a week+ now.

i can only assume its not downloading the drivers right. but i have tried a dozen times. uninstalling, then reinstalling. choosing automatic, advanced, from disc, same thing every time.

this is all the info they offer: http://www.ecmtuning.com/wiki/connectionproblem

help.

no. this is the cable supplied by ECM Tuning for there system. USB (2.0?) on one end, other end is direct plug in to diagnostic port.

it won't let get that far. was so hoping to have fun sliding barz back and forth  :'(

guess I'll have to sell it to some fanboy so he can play sliders.

I didn't even notice that. I want one that works. one that has features. but not sure sliders make sense. easy to use yes.
