obd1 conversion, no fuel. issue
« on: April 02, 2014, 08:43:33 PM »

Hey errryone
1991 civic hatch, did a obd1 conversion, ( ebay harness )
car wont' start ( well wouldn't ) but I need to solve it another way besides what I did :D

So from what I read online, is that number 8 as shown, VVV

Should have power to the fuel pump. MINE DOES NOT
I only get two clicks from the relay, one check engine on. none for fuel and one when I turn the key.
NO FUEL

SO IF I jump #1 and #8 together, vrooom car starts, but that kinda doesn't fix the issue.

Heres my question, all my fuses are good. underhood and dash. Could it bee the harness thats causing the issue?
From what I notice on my pinouts I find is A 12/14 say is the main relay obd0 yellow blacks.
THOSE go to the jumper into a ground? I think

THEN pin A11/13 obd0 are green black ( ground? ) go to a obd1 pin location of power.... A 7 I believe,

PLEASE dont qoute me on the pin locations. and colors... I just know from what I follow is that stock locations go to the opposite of the new harness... from what im understanding.

How do I fix this? could I just wire a key HOT to the #8 of the relay?
I resoldered the relay, nothing was cracked. Nothing helped. still no fuel, Like I said if i jump it it runs,  no codes
just tbelts looose :( b7 no bueno. I will fix that todaY

Own update, so just unhooked the jumper, and hooked a pm5 ecu to the original obd0 stuff......
3 clicks from the main relay. getting fuel.
Its obviously the harness correct?
Shall I call them back and shove it where the sun no shine.... OR try to repin or fix it myself..
Like I said I just need power to that pin on the relay correct? 8?

Having same issue w/ my 1g 'teg with a OBD1 engine.

My harness had the MAP and TPS swapped around, and the C1 (CYPP) and C16 (O2) connected to one A21 OBD1 side.

all else looked ok

I originally made a jumper harness and had the 'teg running on a P05 ecu, but later found the pin for the MAP sensor broke on the OBD0 side of harness.

So I bought a egay harness since I count repair the homemade harness.

I might try the fuel relay jumper just to see if get my car started. :noel:

Stock ob1. It is chipped but I pulled j1,
Its the egay harness for sire. I ordered a phearable one.
If I put power to the fuel pump pin on the main relay it runs great.
