The wonders of ebay made that easy, I got a 10pk for $5 or something. Or maybe it was Amazon.
I'll be doing some DIY lines. I ordered 2 stainless Swagelok compression unions for a quick & dirty fix (cheap ala ebay), then decided to replace both lines. I bought some inverted flare couplers & a flaring tool from Amazon and I already have a bunch of the 3/16" copper-nickel brake line that bends & flares like a dream. It's not much more than steel, but still as strong and fatigue/vibration-resistant.
I might have to repair some other lines on this & another car, so it's not that big of a deal. It certainly would have come in handy a few times in the past.
The icing on the cake to this weekend of brake repair is my GF's car also has brake issues. I decided to put on new rotors/pads on her Lumina, and the last idiot to work on them stripped the threads on a caliper bracket. The only reason it stayed on there was because of the rust. Ironic, isn't it?
