Its that time to upgrade my fuel system, i currently run a walbro 400 with ID 2000, stock rail and stock lines. I have a eagle fuel rail. I have been doing some research and have found that the stock lines are 5/16 feed and 1/4 return. Currently I'm pushing over 500hp to the wheel. Last dyno had me at 485 with gsr cams 18psi and a cat. I'm no longer running a cat type r cams and 24psi. Should i run 6 an feed and return or will 8an feed and 6 return be two large. Since I'm in Germany i would really only like to buy hose once since it will take upwards of 2 weeks to get it here. Really just looking for some advice since I really haven't messed with fuel lines before.

That did have lots of good info. I guess my true question is, If i run a -8 feed and -6 return will my pump be able to handle it since my rail is 1/2 anyways, or will just running -6 feed and return be better for pressure and flow? It is a walbro 400 the e85 version, so really its a 450. I run 50psi base pressure. I would also be running an inline filter.

What are you power goals? I seen mid 600's on oem lines in 92+ civic/ teg

-6 size lines will work, Spiker was doing a lot more on stock lines.  :noel:

I've seen clost to 700whp on stock lines before, wouldn't recommend it.
What do you have for fpr, I didn't see no mention of that. We couldn't get much past 550 on stock fpr.

A small return line only impacts fuel pressure at idle, rarely. People use the 5/16" line as the new return and get whatever feed size they feel like. As mentioned, 5/16" can still make a lot of power. What kills flow is the OEM fittings and sometimes with E85 so does the filter. The filter issue is more of a maintenance thing after switching.

Since you're using such low base pressure, the pump can deal with a bit of restriction (pressure drop) on the feed line. A 5/16" feed might see 10-30psi higher pressure at the pump outlet vs the rail/fpr, while a firehose setup may only see 2-5psi more. Since the pump will be the weakest link, anything you can do to help flow from pump to rail inlet will carry you a bit further.

Also having no banjo fitting in the mix improves flow a bunch.  :noel:
