Yup this is not what you thought when you click on this build thread.

This is my older brother car I been helping with. The car is a 91 volvo 240 4dr. Goal for now is really simple, 500hp on pump gas done dirty cheap.

So far the break down goes.
2000 Lm7 5.3L complete motor with wiring $200
Th400 $100
pac 1250 springs $150
Ls1 cam $50
Gen 4 rods $100
8.8 rear $50
B&M torque convert FREE
Fake HKS ssql bov FREE

Still need to get injectors, turbo, oil lines, misc

Anyways onto some pic's.

single cam, yes. but its not Over Head Cam. 


other than that... LSX Volvo's are awesome. keep us up to date.... oh also, i may have some 50lbs injectors to part with?

Nothing really, finished the 4l80e into my yukon, just waiting on JD to send back the computer before I can get this going.

Man im slacking on updates, some work has gone down and new parts bought. Ill get some pics over the weekend.

Well I figured I would update this ti get motivated on working on something lol

How it sat for sometime, low funds and other projects.




While it sat we did pick up a set of mounts, and a VS7875


New mounts


     



Space is a bit tight but it will work.

Started working on the collector, keeping it nice and simple.


Pick up a Ls1 IM and TB for $50


Turbo clears the stock hood and should make for a nice simple fender dump


Thats about were I am at right now. Still have to do the following:
1) finish the manifold
2) Decap truck injectors
3) Install valve springs
4) Build IC piping
5) Install wiring
6) Install fuel pump

Thats the short list for now, I now im missing a ton of stuff.

The only reason we did, was he was sold out on the older style at the time.

The truck injectors dont fit in the ls1 intake manifold. I tried 

I cant believe you got that manifold and tb for 50 bucks man that's a hell of a steal.

The truck manifold actually makes a little bit more power if it will fit.

I cant believe how well that motor fits in that beast. That car is going to be a blast.

I havent tried the injector yet, but saw someone on the sloppy page do it. I guess theres one way to find out. This is easier to work on then the old red block
