yeah well this does make #4... but wasnt really going to wait around forever to sell the Galant. so i bought it anyway...

also photobucket took a shit, they want $40 a MONTH for hosting...lets see how imgur works...

couple pics:

http://imgur.com/a/pRTGK <~ the album.

its a 2008 Pontiac G8 GT
6.0L L76 (LS2 bottom, LS3 heads)
6L80E (yeah its an auto)
DOD is in the TRASH!
Comp cam... specs he sent me: 223/231 610/617 112
LS7 lifters
hardened push rods
Pacesetter long tube headers
X-pipe
no cats or resonators
flowmasters (going in garbage)
ported throttle body
cold air intake box
Yank SS 3600 stall
3.27 gears (stocks are 2.92)
100 shot nitrous plate kit

think that about somes it up? oh its got 91,xxx miles. i do have some plans, but really i do need to sell the Galant. it has the stock suspension on it still, i plan on some swaybars at the least and some bushings, might do some springs. i ordered a Magnaflow exhaust, as i cant stand this exhaust, i mean it sounds badass, but really its way the fuck too loud, drones, etc.

oh... here lets blow out your speakers:
http://youtu.be/uMC0P4gC9-o

he claims it made 440whp and like 470tq or some shit? yeah idk about that torque. plus the 100shot of nitrous. says it ran low 11s in socal on the bottle... google says she weighs in at hair under 4000lbs. et calculator i found says its possible of power is as claims... plan on checking both ;)  buddy just picked up a 17 ZL1 that i would like to race and dyno against. and another buddy says he wants to play, but wants a "handycap' as he "only has a V6"....its a GTR.

so far i have only done some small thing to clean her up. polished the headlights, repainted the brake calipers (green wasnt doing it for me, did some dark gray/cast iron color), painted the chrome kidney grill trims black... will be hopefully painting the door trims tomorrow.

for those that are counting:
G8 (daily)
Nova (toy)
Silverado (truck)
Galant (needs to leave)

SOLD THE GALANT....

shopping/ordering parts for G8 now... lol.  think i said i hate the exhaust thats on it? and i ordered a 2.5" maganflow off amazon for jew deals. hopefully get around to putting that on tomorrow before my neighbors kill me lol. or i start bleeding from my ears. its loud/drones.
ordered stereo stuff. got a couple speakers that are shot. went a little overboard i think, but i plan to have this for a long while, and drive it a lot (road trips).

still researching suspension/brakes i want to go with.... and fuckme, for the life of me i cant ever choose an aftermarket wheel to put on a car. maybe just some wheel spacers for all 4, and some 275s for the rears?

I really like these cars!

its awesome.

why not, how about an update?

painted the grill surrounds and emblem black. i hate chrome.

again, chrome shit gone. thats upper moldings and horizontal window ones too.

magnaflow 2.5" exhaust. MUCH more livable.

damn near Prius like gas mileage (verified with actual math)

couple of these where for sure making shit noises. and when pushing with light pressure all had crunchy resistance... junk. (x6 alpine type r's)

replacements.

after a trip to homedepot for some shelving board. i have amp rack...  :mexi:

anyway. been looking for wheels. im always super opinionated about wheels, probably why i end up with OE wheels most the time. but i have been looking at these...

Niche M131
19x8.5 et35 245-45-19
19x9.5 et35 275-35-19

oh, also did the front brakes. just some blank rotors, and Hawk pads.

The car looks so much better without the chrome on the front end.  Those 'type r's use to be high end back in the circuit city days  :mexi:

wow, your old...shit. i might be too. the owners manual for my Orion amp was copywrite 1999 i do believe lol.

i hate chrome. was kinda afraid it would look murdered out, but i think it looks good. something needs to happen with that front emblem. if you pull it there are holes left behind. think i can pull the rear without issue... just scrolling through the pics, should have painted the mufflers black, but kinda have to leave the tips.

wheels are back ordered. fuck. found retailer on ebay that says he has the rears in stock... just need to find someone with the 8.5's...

so looking for opinions... maybe im getting old? but im debating putting lowering springs on her.  the springs would be EIBACH's. they say like 1.2" lower or something. and probably replace the shocks with Koni yellows (adjustables). ok. that will probably happen either way.

oh. so got the car up on the rack at work. replaced 2 tires. ordering 2 more soon. i bought all seasons as these will be 'winter' wheels or whatever. unless i never buy aftermarket wheels... anyway. had a tech take a peak also. we found:
left front wheel is bent (ordered one off FB already)
rear shocks have a little bounce to them (didnt check fronts)
and i have 2 shit upper control arm bushings.

uca bushings are awesome because they bolt the arm on to the sub frame and lift it into the car. but i planned on doing subframe bushings also. so i need to drop it just low enough to slide those in. hopefully dont have to remove the hole damn thing.
oh, we where looking as i have a light vibration still front the front after the brakes, and rear end seems to do a little dance over bumps at 35+mph or so as it settles.

not sure how overboard i want to go? ***i dont want to ruin the ride quality or add noise.*** like i said, daily driver, want to drive across country.
my shopping cart has many items in it...

going to replace/buy:
front/rear sway bars (front will be fun to replace)
koni shocks
subframe bushings
uca bushings
front strut bushings/bearings

maybe im going overboard?
eibach springs $250
rear trailing arms (prevent wheel hop) $140
trailing arm bushings (same) $30
rear toe rods (stiffen up toe from settings wondering) $110
19" wheels....for vip status.... actually, ill probably need to lower it if i get wheels.  $800-1200

It sounds like in your last post that you've already talked yourself into the full upgrade. If you've got the cash, you'll probably be happiest with doing everything at once. It'll save you time in the long run if you only have to take the suspension apart once, too... Though you can justify almost anything with the right line of reasoning...

yup. then in the last 2 days i have been stressing money shit. and now i want to do nothing at all. well i need to replace the bushings. and probably order 2 more tires before winter for the stock wheels...

idk. we will see. im all over the charts at the moment. could spend little money on the Nova, i have some vacation time coming soon, maybe make that nicer, or just save the money. really i love the car the way it is (the bushing thing is unsettling sometimes).

i posted my spare LS6 engine for sale. if that sells, there will be more money, and make any of this way more easy to justify lol. also crossed my mind to pull all the nitrous shit and sell it, along with the Z06 wheels.

so i had the LS6 for sale. guy hits me up and is like "you wanna trade for an ATV?"  then im shaking my head no while saying yes...

kinda fits in my truck perfect. even matches...

fits in the garage with the Nova just fine also. once the nova is on the ground, i can rearrange some more, and it will fit fine in the front or back corner. and will be able to pull car in and out without moving it.

need to 'finish' the nova (aka getting it running in current state to drive)
need to buy riding gear for bike... only got a dune flag, sand tires, and small ass girls helmet
need to buy radials/slicks for Z06 wheels, and fill some nitrous bottles for some fun
need to do some maintenance on the truck before hauling that bike around anymore. check/replace diff oil. check/flush trans oil (aka put 80e in truck)

what will i do?  ::)

oh, the ATV is a 2006 Yamaha Raptor YMF350. all stock. plus some sand tires. seems to run mint. starts no problems. and i have no fuckin clue how to ride it. been like 20years since i have been on a motorcycle i think. managed to get it on/off the truck without killing myself (getting on was a close call). did a little putt down the driveway and back.

did i mention that i LOVE this car. as much as i want to modify her even more, i dont want to fuck with something so good (dont want to call her perfect though). so really the plan is maintenance/replacing things that bother me.

so one of the things i said i wanted to do with this car was drive her. take road trips. etc. well i have done one.

put some miles on her. this was my road trip. lots of freeway. some slower highway, some around the town putting around. keeps dropping as i do more of my commute lol. at like 17 or so now. lol.. was up into 23-24 range with solid freeway driving if i remember right. remember she is like 4k-lbs 3.27 gears, 6.0L with a healthy cam and convertor. she does need a couple bushings in the rear, and tires on the front.

something i have wanted to do is go to the ocean. you might be saying 'dude are you are in seattle' well that just the puget sound, and i have been all over that, but never out to the coast. i wanted to stand on the beach and look out into thousands of miles of nothingness...
here are some random pics from the ocean. was on the Oregon coast. dont remember where, think just north of California. phone was being a bitch, and was just enjoying the views and drive, etc.

oh yeah, dont think i posted this. but its a 2008 and it doesnt have bluetooth. bought this off amazon for like 20bucks. and i love it. works great. and bonus nitrous and 'burnout' switches porn.

traction control fuckin hates me and the rainly roads lol. need to figure out how to tune that shit to numb it out or something so it doesnt just kill 100% power then drop it instantly back in. if its not wet roads, shit is tuned off.  8)

In my wife's trailblazer if I press and hold the traction control button for like 5 or 8 seconds it turns off the stabiltrac and the traction control.

mine seems to just turn them both off with a single hit of the button.

like on the way home its a damn rain/wind storm. stability assist (pic of car doing burnout) is flashing on the info screen hard, with it just cycling the engine on/off. but if i click it off, its sideways burnouts as long as you want with just MPH climbing on the info screen. now if i could leave the stability on and the traction off, that would probably be best? but doesnt seem to be option.

btw. this car drives awesome in the rain. you really need to actively be an asshole for the car to loose traction. (and i am usually actively an asshole btw) seems pretty easy to drive around like a standard 4dr grocery getter.

also, i have stopped at several places and had people harass me, think i was in some guys snapchat. talked to some people. etc. i go into the grocery store the other day, grab a cart,  older gent says "that you making all that noise" LOL. "yes it was".... "i didnt know cars could still sound like that"  :noel: :Jew:
